Barbados New Chief Fire Officer
Barbados' New Chief Fire Officer is Mr.Wilfred Decourcey Marshall, his appointment took effect from Saturday 15 May 2010.
Marshall has been in the service for 35 years. A graduate of the now defunct Federal High School, Mr. Marshall has benefited from local and international training courses which he was privileged to attend. He pursued a course of study in public administration at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, and was awarded a certificate.
He also hold certificates in occupational safety and health from the Barbados Community College; Mass Casualty Management from the Pan American Health Organisation, and a certificate in General Management from the Training Administration Division in collaboration with the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity.
He has training in International Disaster Management from Bournemouth University, England; and in Executive Analysis of Fire Service Operations in Emergency Management, from the United States' National Fire Academy.
He was awarded the Barbados Service Medal in 1991 and one Clasp in 2006.
Mr. Marshall is married with three children.
